Will 'Public Shaming' Work?Imagine if you were caught on this 'candid camera!' Brian Singer is on a mission to make roads safer. The San Francisco man has purchased 11 billboards around the city where he will place blown up images of photos he has taken of people texting while driving!
'Talk-To-Text' Really Is Not Safe While DrivingThe voice recognition software option on most new cell phones was designed to make texting safer but it may actually be doing more harm than good. I can't argue with this eiter, as I use the 'voice-to-text' feature on my smart phone, but not while driving because it seems to be even MORE distracting. Once you speak, you have to look at the phone to see what it typed for you, defeating the purpose completely! You agree?
Do As I Say, Not As I Do!Even though my Dad went to heaven 3 years ago today, I can still hear him telling me, "Do as I say, not as I do!" For my Dad, there was no shame in his game, he did not want his kids to do some of the things he did, like smoke cigarettes. And I know he was bummed when he quit smoking for over 20 years, yet all his kids still smoked. Well guess what folks, kids DO watch what their parents do, like texting while driving...
Man's 'Last Text' Before Car Crash Says It All!Even though it is against the law, even though we have all been warned....people do still text and drive. A college student from Texas believes he is lucky to be alive after a terrible crash. He was texting and driving when his truck flew off of a cliff. Chance Bothe's truck plunged off of a bridge and into a ravine. and one of the last things he typed indicated what almost happened to him. He wrote, "I need to quit texting, because I could die in a car accident." It really is a miracle that Chance survived....

I know that both of my daughters are social butterflies for sure! So, it may not surprise you that recent study by AAA found that teenage girls are twice as likely as boys to use cell phones while driving. This obviously is despite all the warnings about how dangerous it is, and how distracted driving puts everyone who does so, increases their risk of getting into an accident. Do you trust your teenage driver?
