Bowling Fundraiser For Thomas 'Thorny' ThorngateLots of guys get together to go hunting, and usually a good time is had by all. But everything can and sometimes does change in an instant. In a tragic twist of fate, a horrific car accident in which a semi truck t-boned the vehicle they were riding in left 4 of the 5 men pictured above and also "Remington" the dog all dead. The lone survivor is Thomas "Thorny" Thorngate, a longtime resident of St. Clair Shores, who is still recovering from injuries he sustained in the accident. Thorny's friends and family are hosting a bowling fundraiser on Friday February 1st at Continental Lanes on 13 Mile & Gratiot in Roseville, with all proceeds going towards his medical expenses. Get details here on how you can help "Thorny" and have fun bowling at the same time.
'Cosmic Bowling' Fundraiser For A Great Family Friend Battling Cancer! My youngest brother Rob Keyandwy was a super great guy, who sadly passed away at age 36, just 2 days after my Dad in 2009. Doug Abbott, pictured above with his wife Jeani, was my brother's great and lifelong friend, and now he needs our help! Doug as you can see is a HUGE Red Wings fan, and he has been diagnosed with a life threatening oral cancer. He has been unable to work since last August, due to chemo and radiation treatments, so Doug's family and friends are hosting a 'Cosmic' Bowling Fundraiser on Friday April 20th at 9:30pm, at Woodland Lanes in Livonia to help cover household expenses during Doug's continuing treatments. This will be a fun event for the entire family, and since I consider YOU a member of MY family, I am hoping that you will join us for a night of fun to help Doug in his time of need!
