About the 99.5 WYCD Hoedown

The 99.5 WYCD Hoedown was established in 1983 and is widely recognized as the largest Country Music Festival of it’s kind in the world.

Hosted by 99.5 WYCD, the Hoedown is regarded by the country music industry as a premier showcase opportunity for new and established artists.

Historically located in downtown Detroit, the event attracts hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic country music fans from the Midwest and beyond.

The 34th anniversary of WYCD’s festival will take place at DTE Energy Music Theatre because of construction downtown. That said, don’t think for a second we’re leaving Detroit in our rear view.

We have exciting plans for the future and will be back in Detroit for the Hoedown.

As for 2016, DTE is a premiere outdoor concert venue and we’ve got two superstars (in addition to 20 other great country acts) coming to perform for YOU.

So come out and party with us on July 31 and see the next generation of country stars shine!

Hoedown Hall of Fame: Not surprisingly, many artists have gotten their big break at the Hoedown, namely Rascal Flatts, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker, Montgomery Gentry, Big & Rich, just to name a few.
