Tom Hanks Reveals the ‘Forrest Gump’ Scene His Wife Watches Over and Over

By: Jon Corrigan

Twenty-two years later, Tom Hanks is still answering Forrest Gump questions.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, Hanks recalled he got into particularly good shape for his role as Forrest, saying his behind was “as firm as tinned hams.”

In fact, whenever the movie is on cable, the actor’s wife makes it a point to watch a certain scene.

“I want to see the one scene when you’re running away from the camera,” Hanks said, mimicking his wife. “I want to look at that fine Hanks ass.”

Later in the clip, Hanks obliged when asked to re-enact one of the film’s more iconic scenes, reading off a cue card: “Now you wouldn’t believe me if I told you, but I could run like the wind blows. From that day on, if I was going somewhere, I was running.”

He’s still got it.
