The Special Meaning Behind The Students Who Joined Tim McGraw At The CMAs

If you watched the CMA Awards you may have been wondering who the kids were that joined Tim McGraw on stage at the end of his performance of “Humble & Kind.” Well, it turns out they weren’t just some random youngsters.

In case you missed it, Tim revealed on Instagram that the group were students from teacher Ben Ellis’ Christ Presbyterian Academy. Back in September, 400 students from the school went to Ellis’ home to sing to him as he battled cancer. Tim had heard about the story and paid his respects to the teacher on social media after hearing he had lost his battle later that month.

After the CMA performance, Tim posted a picture of the students, writing, “Thank you to Mr. Ben Ellis’s students from Christ Presbyterian Academy for making tonight’s CMA Awards performance of “Humble and Kind” so special.”
