Justin Timberlake isn’t really known for being a ‘bad boy,’ but he might be in a bit of trouble with the law anyway.
The 35-year-old pop star/actor was voting early in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee yesterday when he took to Instagram to share selfie that showed him submitting his ballot.
“Hey! You! Yeah, YOU! I just flew from LA to Memphis to #rockthevote,” he wrote “There could be early voting in your town too. If not, November 8th! Choose to have a voice! If you don’t, then we can’t HEAR YOU! Get out and VOTE! #exerciseyourrighttovote.”
Unfortunately, taking a photo while voting is against the law in Tennessee, as is recording a video or talking on the phone.
Similar laws also apply in states such as New York, Alaska, Florida and Michigan, while ballot selfies are not illegal in places like Virginia, Idaho, Louisiana and Hawaii.
As Timberlake’s selfie remains on Instagram, it’s doubtful he realizes he did anything wrong, but time will tell if any legal action will be taken against him.
