Check for Sex Offenders in Your Neighborhood Before Trick-or-Treating

There are thousands of people listed on Michigan’s registry of sex offenders.

It’s a sad reality in this world we live in, but it’s best to be aware and be able to protect your kids, especially on Halloween when they go trick-or-treating.

A tool from the state allows you to search for registered sex offenders in your neighborhood and see them on a map.

According to the state, registered sex offenders are required to update their address in the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry within three days of moving to a new home.
