Vince Gill Nominated For the Songwriters Hall Of Fame

Vince Gill may soon be adding his name to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Vince is one of many artists nominated for this year’s class, including  Bryan Adams, Gloria Estefan, Bread’s David Gates,  Jeff Lynne, Jay-Z, Madonna,  George Michael, Cat Stevens, Sly Stone, and the songwriters in Chicago and Kool & The Gang.

This year’s class, which will be whittled down to five, has the potential to make history, since Jay-Z, whose debut album “Reasonable Doubt” came out in 1996, could be the first rapper ever to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Voting on this year’s class runs until December 16th, with the induction ceremony set to take place June 15th in New York.
