Looking to add a fur-ever friend this fall?

Michigan’s “Empty the Shelters” day on Saturday, Oct. 22, and offer fee-free dog and cat adoptions, CBS Detroit reports.

The Grand Rapids-based non-profit, BISSELL Pet Foundation, will pay all adoption fees at more than 50 shelters and rescue organizations during the one-day adoption event.

“We will cover their adoption fee at these organizations – at every single organization – we will not be covering … the license. They will have to get a license for their pet and that can range from $7 to $12,” says pet founder Cathy Bissell.
