Now that Harry Connick Jr. has his own daytime talk show, “Harry,” he’s inviting his friends to come sit with him on the couch. So who better to invite along for the ride than his former “Will & Grace” co-star, Debra Messing!
If you didn’t watch the show yesterday, you may not have known that fans of series loved to hate on Harry, aka “Leo.” It didn’t help in the least when he admitted he cheated in Debra – aka “Grace.” Apparently, Connick has been hounded and harassed for years by people who thought the show was real and blamed him for breaking Grace’s heart.
Messing delivered an emotional PSA on Connick Jr.s behalf:
“Hi, I’m Debra Messing, star of stage and screen. As you know I played Grace Adler on the mega-popular, Emmy Award-winning smash hit program Will and Grace…This wonderful man, Harry Connick Jr., played Grace’s love interest Dr. Leo Markus. I just want to make this perfectly clear he’s not really Dr. Leo Markus, he’s Harry freaking Connick freaking Jr. Please, America, it’s time to let this go. Stop harassing Harry Connick Jr. It wasn’t real. Thank you.”
