Nope, Kelsea Ballerini and Taylor Swift are Not Collaborating

Kelsea took to Twitter to clear up any confusion.

Yesterday, Radio.com (along with several other music websites) speculated that Kelsea Ballerini might be collaborating with Taylor Swift on a new song.

The speculation was prompted by a video that Ballerini shared on Snapchat that previewed a new song that featured a voice which sounded much more like Swift’s than Ballerini’s. The brief video showed a man working on a song. “We didn’t know it, thought we could grow it / beautiful for a moment / we were roses, yeah,” a woman’s voice can be heard singing. Considering her brief, whirlwind relationship with actor Tom Hiddleston, is this new Swift music? Also, Ballerini and Swift are friends; Ballerini was one of the many guests to join Swift on stage during her 1989 tour.

Alas, it isn’t to be. Ballerini just tweeted “Y’all! I’m just as excited for some new T Swift jams, but I’m not involved with it!! Roses was a demo of mine. Crazy confusion!”
