A trail cam photo taken last month in Michigan upper peninsula depicting the backside of a dark-furred creature recently caused an internet stir.
Crypto Sightings, an oddball website, publicized the photo, asking its readers if it was a Bigfoot or a big bear.
“The possible bigfoot picture was taken somewhere in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan,” Crypto Sightings writes. “Many are wondering if this could actually be a Michigan bigfoot photo or perhaps something less spectacular. Some skeptics have weighed in on the photo and one theory is that it is nothing more than a bear.”
The debate ended on Sept. 12 when a second photo taken on the same trail, mere minutes after the first, was shared with readers. It was just a bear.
Crypto Sighting shared a followup story: U.P. Michigan Bigfoot Photo: Mystery Solved.
“So this was not the great bigfoot sighting many thought it was and is not the elusive bigfoot evidence many continue to search for. The skeptics have gotten this one right and the search for big foot will have to continue on as we log this one as a simple misidentification. The hunt for proof of the Michigan bigfoot continues and perhaps it will be the location of one of the next bigfoot sightings 2016.”
