Jason Aldean Disappointed By CMA Snub; Surprises Fan At Their House

Jason Aldean was one of a handful of superstars who were overlooked by the voters of the Country Music Association when the nominees were announced last week for the upcoming CMA Awards. Jason is the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, however he garnered no nominations for the upcoming 50th annual CMA Awards.

Jason tells us he can’t figure out how things are so different between the ACM and CMA voters. “I don’t know, I mean, I don’t know how to sort of cipher that, you know? It’s just like you come off of winning the ACM’s Entertainer of the Year and then CMAs come around and you’re not nominated. I don’t know. I don’t really know why that is or how that happens. I just know that obviously it’s disappointing when you feel like you’ve been in a position to at least be up there and be considered, you feel like you’ve had as good a year as anybody and sort of put yourself in a position to be there, but, you know, it’s tough. It’s obviously disappointing but its kind of been like that kind of my whole career, so anymore it’s not really shocking.”

So, Jason decided to stop buy fan the home of Brittany Marcum, a fan in Lexington, Kentucky who got the surprise of her life when Jason turned up on her doorstep unannounced before his show in Lexington. He gave her the first copy of his new album “They Don’t Know,” as well as a pair of Justin Boots, Resistol hats and the grand prize of a trip to see his concert at Boston’s Fenway Park this weekend, where she’ll be a “Roadie For the Day.”
