Miranda Lambert Breaks Down Reading Soldier’s Concert Sign

By: Jon Corrigan

A soldier’s sign left Miranda Lambert in tears during a concert on Aug. 19 in Hartford, Connecticut.

Lambert was singing the first verse of “The House That Built Me” when the sign caught her eye.

“3 combat tours. [Your] voice was the last thing I listened to EVERY NIGHT! THANK YOU!!!” the special message read.

The singer picked up the poster and held it up for the entire venue to see. The clip above shows her in tears showing it to her band.

“Second verse, I gotta get a drink. Y’all, I gotta do it,” Lambert said before walking toward the back of the stage.

She would have the audience finish the song as she wiped away tears with a scarf on her microphone stand.
