Jon Pardi Lands First Career Number One

By: Frank Williams Jr.

Jon Pardi has the new number one song in the country. Jon’s “Head Over Boots” has landed on top the “Billboard” Country Airplay chart a full 46 weeks after its release. The tune is Jon’s first Country Airplay number one. Before this, his best showing was with the song “Up All Night,” which peaked at number 11 in 2014.

“It means a lot to have this number one,” Jon tells “ Billboard.” “‘Head Over Boots’ is a very traditional song, and it’s no secret that I’m a traditional-leaning artist. I’m flattered and proud to be in that category. Everyone has their own lane, and this is mine.”
