Police Officer Drives 650 Miles To Return Dog To Owner

When a New Jersey police officer arrived on the scene of a car accident, he found a South Carolina man traveling with his beloved basset hound, Bella. The man needed medical attention so Bella was taken to the local Humane Society – but the organization could only keep the dog for a week.

When the victim was unable to retrieve Bella, and her co-owner couldn’t make it, either, Officer Frank Kuhl stepped up. “It pulled on my heartstrings a little bit,” he said. “I have two dogs at home, and I got a vibe that this guy feels the same way about dogs that I do.”

Along with his squad mate, Michael Tancredi, Officer Kuhl did something really cool; he drove 650-miles to get Bella back home.
