Gabby Douglas can’t seem to stay out of the headlines during the 2016 Olympics.
The 20-year-old apologized after causing a stir when she didn’t place her hand over her heart during the playing of the National Anthem earlier this week.
Now, she’s sparked rumors of a feud with Simone Biles.
After Biles finished her floor routine and secured her gold medal win during last night’s All-Around competition, Douglas did not join her teammates Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian in giving her a standing ovation.
Twitter then exploded with criticism over Douglas’s behavior, as many deemed her “salty” and “unsportsmanlike.”
Douglas won the All-Around at the 2012 London Olympics, but was unable to defend her title this year after placing third during qualifiers behind her teammate and captain Aly Raisman, who went on to win the silver last night.
Although Douglas has not commented on the feud rumors, she seemed to dispute them by taking to Twitter this morning to congratulate both Biles and Raisman on their stellar performances last night.
