Day Two of the Summer Olympics in Rio is now in the books. American swimming stars Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky added to their medal collections on the second day of the Games of the 31stOlympiad. Phelps captured his 19th career gold medal as part of the four-by-100-meter freestyle relay team; and Ledecky broke her own world record in the 400-meter freestyle. Here’s a rundown of some other big moments:

For the record? The U.S. sits alone atop the medal count standings. The Americans have collected 12 total medals, including three gold, five silvers and four bronze. The U.S. picked up seven total medals on Day Two alone. China is in second place in the standings with eight medals. Australia is third with six medals overall.
