Sam Hunt Wants Country Music To Get More Strong Women

Sam Hunt got caught by TMZ cameras at LAX, where he was asked to share his thoughts as to why female country artists don’t seem to get as big a billing in duets as male artists do.

Sam believes it’s just because right now it seems like a “male dominated era” in country music, although he notes “that’ll probably change.” Sam says that while there are already “several” strong women in country music, “we need more.”

Sam was also asked if he would rather perform during the Super Bowl halftime show or play in the game, and for the former college football player it was an easy decision – the game. Sam notes about the halftime show, “that’s a big stage.”
