The Story of How Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher Finally Got Together is Adorable

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis went from TV co-stars, to close friends, to husband and wife…but how exactly did they get there?

Kunis has recently been opening up about their otherwise private relationship, and during an interview on The Late Late Show, she revealed to James Corden how they finally got together.

After keeping in touch for years through AIM (remember those days?), the 32-year-old actress reveals she saw her former on-screen love interest in a different light when they ran into each other at an awards show.

“At first I was like ‘Wow, that guy’s really tall!,’” she recalled. “And then he turned around and I went (gasps!).”

“That moment that you hear or see in movies when your heart skips a beat? It happened with Ashton,” she continued. “It was the weirdest thing – I was like, ‘This isn’t happening.’”

Kutcher (38) then invited her to a housewarming party, where he was actually trying to set her up with someone else!

“I found out later in life that my husband was trying to set me up on a blind date with one of his friends that night,” Kunis explained. “So he was like ‘come over’ and he had a friend he wanted to set me up with and that didn’t happen.”

The celebs then proceeded to actually follow the plots of their very similar movies, No Strings Attached and Friends with Benefits, by trying to be each other’s casual hookups. Needless to say, that didn’t exactly work out.

“If we would’ve just paid attention to how those movies turned out, we would know that we can’t go into a relationship this way,” Kunis said. “And yet we did exactly as both those movies foretold. We literally shook hands and were like ‘We’re gonna have fun because we’re both single and young!’”

“Three months later we’re living together, six months later we’re like married and have a kid,” she joked. “We clearly didn’t watch the end of either one of our movies.”

Given the fact that the could is currently expecting their second child, we’d say it was all meant to be!
