Jeff Gordon Will Come Out Of Retirement To Fill In For Dale Jr. As He Recovers From Concussion


Due to a concussion, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will not race for the next 2 races in the NASCAR season.  The concussion, which Junior believes he sustained during a crash at Michigan International Speedway, will keep him from the races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend and Pocono Raceway next weekend.

But don’t worry fans of the #88 car, a very special driver will fill in… Jeff Gordon!! That’s right, Gordon will come down from the broadcast booth and out of retirement to pilot the #88 for the next 2 races. The Four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon ranks third all-time with 93 career victories in the series, including six at Pocono and five in the Brickyard 400 – both records.
