Scuba Diver’s Camera Washes Up Three Years Later…And It Still Works!!

By: Frank Williams Jr.

Back in July 2013, Adele Devonshire was diving off the coast of St Abbs in Scotland when all of a sudden the clip holding her underwater camera snapped!

After a search, she figured the camera was gone for good. Imagine her surprise when she heard about Lars Mossberg‘s Facebook post last week.

The 51-year-old Swedish man found the camera perched on a rock on the shore of a small Swedish island. The most miraculous part? The camera still worked three years and 600 miles later. Mossberg looked on the camera and found pictures of 37-year-old Devonshire and her family. He posted the photos on a Lost At Sea Facebook group and just five hours later a friend of Devonshire recognized the pics.

Adele went on to say, “To think that it had presumably been bobbing around in the sea for all that time – and still works – is remarkable,” adding, “It just goes to show the power of the internet and the kindness of people.”
