Brad Paisley recently helped a fan propose to his girlfriend, although it almost didn’t happen.
Jason Smith originally planned to pop the question to girlfriend Courtney Larger at Brad’s Phoenix show two weeks ago, but security was so tight they stopped him from getting close to Brad to ask the singer if he could propose on stage.
Jason then decided to go on Twitter to try and get Brad’s attention, writing, “Waited 4 yrs to propose to my gf @ your concert and your guy stopped me…devastated,” adding, “I actually made this Twitter just to let u know, bc 2 of your songs mean everthing [sic] to us and I wanted to propose to one.”
Well, lucky for Jason, Brad saw his tweet and reached out to him, inviting the couple to a meet and greet at his show in Laughlin, Nevada, although Larger only thought that her boyfriend had won tickets to the concert.
“I couldn’t live with the fact that this guy missed his chance to propose during one of my songs in Phoenix,” Brad told “People.” “I had to fix that.”
And that’s just what Brad did, inviting the couple on stage, at which point Jason got down on one knee and popped the question, with Courtney, of course, saying yes. Brad then sang “Little Moments” for the couple, a song Smith says always makes his fiancée cry.
