Is Carrie Underwood’s New Single The Wedding Song of 2016?

Carrie Underwood says there’s one song on her “Storyteller” album that’s bound to make her cry, the ballad “The Girl You Think I Am.” Carrie shares that while she and co- writers Hillary Lindsey and David Hodges were working on it, they were all “channeling our own experiences” about their relationship with their fathers, or in David’s case about being a dad.

“When I think about my dad I know that he thinks I am so much better than I am for real,” Carrie says. “I would love to be the girl that he thinks I am because he holds me up so high and thinks I can do no wrong….He is my biggest fan so that’s definitely one that resonates with me and my own father.”
