Back in April, Lee Brice helped the widow of Troy Gilbert, an F-16 pilot killed in action in 2006, find her husband’s old truck that he had sold right before he left for his deployment. Lee and his management team tracked down the truck and gave it to her during his set at the ACM Party for a Cause.
Little did the family know, Lee had much bigger plans in store for the truck, which he revealed to Gilbert’s family on the morning of Memorial Day. He couldn’t have picked a more fitting day to, once again, hand over the keys to their fallen soldier’s truck, which had been completely revamped. The truck now features Gilbert’s squadron on the front, his patches in the headrests, along with his silhouette on the tailgate.
Speaking of Lee Brice, Jerrod Niemann released the official music video for his new single, “A Little More Love,” on Saturday. The adorably funny video features Jerrod and Lee Brice waking up on a beach, finding a suitcase full of money in the sand and proceeding to give it all away to random people they encounter throughout the video.
Jerrod couldn’t have picked a better message to record with his buddy, Lee, saying, “As a friend, he’s done so many wonderful things for me, and we’ve shared a lot of great memories, and share a lot of fans out there, too; we’ve had some great times.”
Lee is the one who found the song, originally, but he knew he couldn’t record it alone. “Lee found the song. And he called me, he was like, ‘Man, I found a song, and I love it. But I feel like it’s more you than me, or it’s both of us, you know.’ So, I listened to it, and I agreed, and we ended up both thinking, ‘Man, we’ve been looking for a song for years to record together.’ And this is the one.”
