This is heavy and heartbreaking. The former child star is revisiting her past in a new tv special for TLC titled, “Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out.” The one hour event will tell “her side of the story.”
When the news broke that the star of Zoey 101 was pregnant it shattered Nickelodeon and the media was rough on her. The special goes deep into her teen pregnancy as well as her movement into music. The special features interviews with both of her parents and her famous sister Britney.
The trailer starts off with voiceovers explaining her shocking pregnancy at the age of 16, as she relives the moment she found out she was going to be a mom. “I look back now, I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh,'” she explains through tears.
“Jamie Lynn was, she was bad,” her dad adds. “It was a bad three years.”
I’ve always been a Jamie Lynn fan, and I can’t even imagine the challenges she went through. Jamie Lynn tweeted out the trailer so take a look!
“I want to do something that I’m gonna be proud of,” the now-25 year old says of trying to launch a new career. “I’m not just a child star and I’m not just someone’s sister. I’m not just a teen mom. For the first time, this is the real story.”
WOW! This is going to be good! Don’t miss this special June 26 at 10/9c on TLC. I know I’ll be watching!
