ABC Cancels ‘Nashville’ After 4 Seasons

In a MAJOR surprise announcement, ‘Nashville’ has been canceled by ABC.

The hit musical program starring Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere lasted only four seasons on the network.

While the show has been on the bubble since its first season, oddsmakers predicted the drama wouldlive to see another season. ABC even had new showrunners lined up for a potential fifth season – Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick (My So-Called Life) were all set to make appearances.

Instead, ABC has decided the end the show.

During the final season, the show has averaged 6.3 million viewers and a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49, including DVR.

ABC also nixed the shows: The Family, Marvel’s Agent Carterand – and with another surprising move. their show Castle.
