‘Ghosting’ Someone You’re Dating Seems Like A Cowards Way Out!

By: Linda Lee

What happened to being straight-forward and telling someone you’ve been dating, “this isn’t working out?”

If you’ve ever been dating someone, only for that person to suddenly vanish into thin air, and stop replying to your messages and calls, you’re not alone. For today’s tech generation there’s even a term for it: Ghosting.

Recent research suggests that the phenomenon is only becoming more popular among young people.

78 per cent of single Millennials – or people between the age of 18 and 33 – have been “ghosted” at least once.

Maybe I am old-school in my beliefs, but if you cared enough to date someone to begin with, why not just be honest and tell them that it’s over? Sure it sucks to hurt someones feelings if they are more into you, but ultimately you are doing them a favor by being honest and letting them move on too!

Have you ghosted someone or been ghosted after a few dates?
