(1923) – Blind guitarist, Doc Watson, is born in Deep Gap, N.C.

(1959) – The band Restless Heart’s lead singer Larry Stewart is born in Paducah, Ky.

(1962) – Jon Bon Jovi is born in Amboy, N.J.

(1987) – Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and EmmyLou Harris, under the Warner Bros. label, release the album “Trio“.

(1996) – Martina McBride scores #1 for the first time in her career with “Wild Angels“.

(1999) – Garth Brooks makes his first ever professional league At-Bat in a spring training game at the San Diego Padres camp in Peoria, Az. He struck out!

(2006) – Carrie Underwood reappears on “American Idol” to perform “Jesus, Take The Wheel“.

(2012) – Dustin Lynch makes his Grand Ole’ Opry debut. The songs he sang; “She Cranks My Tractor” and “Cowboys And Angels“.
