TV Show “Bones” Ending After 12 Seasons

We have good and bad news, “Bones” fans. The FOX series has been renewed for a 12th season, but it will be the show’s last. With 14 new episodes, the show will run a total of 246, making it one of the network’s longest running series.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have another season, so we can give the show, characters and fans the end they so richly deserve,” executive producers and showrunners Jonathan Collier and Michael Peterson said in a statement. “Also knowing there is a Season 12, we can now write the most rewarding Season 11 finale possible — one we hope will leave our fans excited for what’s to come in this final season of ‘Bones.’”

The plus side of knowing the end is coming? The show-runners can plot out a “meaningful and satisfying conclusion.” “Bones'” will resume its current 11th season on Thursday, April 14th.
