2016 ACM Award Nominations


The 2016 ACM Award nominations have been announced! Taking place on Sunday April 3rd on CBS and hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, the list of nominations is mostly predictable, but there are a few surprises.

The big award of the night, Entertainer of the Year consists of a few names that have won the award in the past and the reigning Entertainer of the Year. The nominees are…

Male Vocalist of the Year nominees are Brett Eldredge, Chris Stapleton, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church and Jason Aldean.

Female Vocalist of the Year nominees are Carrie Underwood, Jana Kramer, Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini and Miranda Lambert.

Vocal Duo of the Year nominees are Brothers Osbourne, Dan + Shay, Joey + Rory, Florida Georgia Line and Maddie & Tae.

Vocal Group of the Year nominees are Eli Young Band and, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Rascal Flatts and Zac Brown Band.

New Male Vocalist of the Year nominees are Brett Eldredge, Chase Rice, Chris Janson, Chris Stapleton and Thomas Rhett.

New Female Vocalist of the Year nominees are Cam, Kelsea Ballerini, Mickey Guyton and Raelynn.

New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year nominees are A Thousand Horses, Brothers Osbourne, Maddie & Tae, Old Dominion and Parmalee.

Album of the Year nominees are “I’m Coming Over” from Chris Young, “Montevallo” from Sam Hunt, “Mr. Misunderstood” from Eric Church, “Tangled Up” from Thomas Rhett and “Traveller” from Chris Stapleton.

Single of the Year nominees are “Burning House” by Cam, “Buy Me A Boat” by Chris Janson, “Die A Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett, “Girl Crush” from Little Big Town, “I’m Coming Over” by Chris Young and “Take Your Time” by Sam Hunt.

Video of the Year nominees are “Biscuits” by Kacey Musgraves, “Burning House” by Cam, “Girl Crush” from Little Big Town, “Mr. Misunderstood” from Eric Church and “Riser” from Dierks Bentley.

Vocal Event of the Year nominees are “Hangover Tonight” by Gary Allan featuring Chris Stapleton, “Home Alone Tonight” from Luke Bryan featuring Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town, “Raise Em Up” from Keith Urban featuring Eric Church, “Smokin’ and Drinkin’” by Miranda Lambert with Little Big Town and “Wild Child” from Kenny Chesney with Grace Potter.
