Our deepest sympathy in such a tragic and unexpected loss.
The details have not been released and are not necessary for us all to respect the families wishes and to keep Eddie Montgomery and his family close in our thoughts and prayers, after his 19-year-old son Hunter passed away on Sunday after an accident that had left him hospitalized on life support.
Eddie Montgomery, one-half of the country duo Montgomery Gentry, says that he appreciates the prayers from fans and for “giving us privacy as we grieve and say goodbye.”
Here’s what Eddie posted on the official Montgomery Gentry fan page:
“My son Hunter went to heaven today. I appreciate all your prayers and love and thank you for giving us privacy as we grieve and say goodbye.”
Funeral arrangements are pending.
Montgomery Gentry has had a bazillion hits including “Something to Be Proud Of,” ”My Town” and “Gone.” The duo won CMA Vocal Duo of the Year at the Country Music Association’s awards in 2000.
