Three out of five Americans say we want to spend our golden years someplace other than where we’re living now. If you’re among those who plan to move after retirement, take a look at the #1 place to live after you retire!
But we may think twice about taking the traditional route to sunny states such as Florida or California and look into the #1 top spot for seniors according to a recent survey of the best places to live after retirement.
This was pretty surprising to me, as I thought Florida, Arizona or California would have been #1 for seniors to relocate. NOPE….
Survey says: Wyoming is the best!
Wyoming took top honors in part because of its 6.9 percent state and local tax burden, the lowest in the country.
The western state also boasts spectacular scenery—it’s home to both Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park—as well as low crime rates.
