Keith Urban and Eric Church are among the nominees for the 50th annual ACM AwardsLuke Bryan and Blake Shelton co-host the show live from Dallas on April 19th on CBS. A music video for “Raise ‘Em Up” is in the works.  Hit-makers Jeffrey Steele (Rascal Flatts’ “What Hurts The Most”) Tom Douglas (Miranda Lambert‘s “The House That Built Me”) and Jaren Johnston (Keith’s “You Gonna Fly”) co-wrote the Grammy-nominated hit “Raise ‘Em Up.”

Keith Urban talks about his first impression of “Raise ‘Em Up.” Keith says, “It got sent under the heading, ‘Song of the Year,’ and I thought, ‘Well, that’s a tall order for a song.’ You know? It was such a cinematic song as well and I always considered Eric to be a very cinematic artist. I sent him the song and he was in the studio immediately. I’m so glad he wanted to be a part of it because it took the song to a whole new place.”

Eric Church says he loved “Raise ‘Em Up” upon first listen, too. “Gah! Loved it! It’s a huge hit and I told him. I said, ‘I wish it was mine.’ It felt like it was because I felt like I wrote it. He texted back, and he said, ‘Well, it can be.’ He said, ‘Why don’t you sing on it?’ And man, it was an honor to do it. And I got to go into the studio and do it, which is good because sometimes with stuff like that, the track’s already done. And you just go in and sing on it. But we actually got to go in and create.”
