Country Stars Kids Following In Their Footsteps

Many country stars are parents and for some of them, their kids look to be following in their footsteps.

Keith Urban returned to HSN this past weekend to debut his new Deluxe “Player” Guitar Collection. Keith said, “I first started playing the guitar when I was 6 and I remember feeling an instant connection to it. So it was important to me to make learning it as easy as possible, for any age, and to create an affordable, quality instrument so that as many people as possible could have a chance to discover the joy of playing. I believe that’s exactly what we’ve been able to do.”

Keith is apparently not the only guitar player in the family. He tells us that one of his girls is following in his footsteps.”Our youngest one, Faith, she’s got a little pink guitar, and she just sort of started taking to it and strumming it and trying to sing. She’s only 3 so it’s not like she’s making chords or anything, but I think she has a . . . It might be something very natural for her. I certainly wasn’t doing that at three, and whether it’s mimicry or whatever it is, it feels like it’s something she really wants to do, so I would sit with my guitar, and she’s got her pink guitar, and I would just be strumming so she could strum along with me, you know, but I don’t think she’s interested in being told anything from Daddy just yet, you know?”
Little Faith will celebrate her fourth birthday later this month.
Keith Urban's Daughter Loves Guitar

Dierks Bentley isn’t the only musician in the family – he says his little girls, Evie and Jordan, are also showing both an interest and talent in music – and boy does proud papa love to watch them learn. But Dierks says he’s not pushing music onto his daughters — and he plans to keep it that way.  He explains that he wants them to “find their own identity” and come to music on their own, not because it’s what their dad does for a living.  Daughter Evie is now six-years old, while Jordan will turn four on Christmas Day.  What about Dierks’ son, Knox? Let’s give the kid some time – he’s only 14-months old.
