Will Hoge Honors the Average American in ‘Middle of America’ Video


Will Hoge‘s new single “Middle of America” plays homage to the average American—and that’s a concept pushed forward in its new music video.

In the one-shot video, filmed in Gallatin, Tenn., Hoge is seen walking through the town, stopping in a tattoo parlor and visiting a pizza place to play a quick gig with his band.

At the video’s start, Hoge jumps into a 1961 Chevrolet Impala red convertible and drives through the town before he heads to a party and then local establishment, the Pizza Machine. Patrons at the pizzeria soon join in during the song’s hand-clapped rhythms before Hoge and his band take the stage.

“Ain’t afraid to get loud when the sun goes down around here,” he sings.

Hoge co-wrote the song with Jessi Alexander and Tommy Lee James and was planning on shopping the song to other country artists before his producer Marshall Altman convinced him otherwise.
