Garth Brooks Brings ‘Good Morning America’ Audience to Tears

By: Jon Corrigan

Last November, in preparation of the release of his new album Man Against Machine, Garth Brooks took a break from touring to make an appearance on Good Morning America .

During his stop on the set, Brooks gave a debut performance of his song “Mom” that left Robin Roberts and a handful of audience members searching for tissues.

The song depicts a conversation between an unborn child and God.

Brooks visibly struggles to get through parts of the single, as he was very close to his mother before she passed in 1999.

“Mom” and “People Loving People” were two hits from Brooks’ new album, which also was released in November 2014.
