I can and have only imagined what it would be like to take a walk in the shoes of a rich and famous country star, and experience what life is REALLY like for them. With papparazzi now with a home base right there in Nashville, I would imagine that fame comes with a steep price when it comes to privacy especially. Living any type of ‘normal life,’ seems to me would include being able to go to the grocery store, or attend your kids baseball game and root them on without being photographed or asked for autographs from fans. But Tim McGraw says that he and wife Faith Hill still lead a ‘normal life’ in those respects…..
I thought this was pretty interesting and wanted to share with you, what Tim McGraw said recent interview with the Academy of Country Music’s Tempo magazine, which is an exclusive magazine that is sent to members of the ACM. Tim says that despite his superstar status, he truly leads a ‘normal life’ offstage. Just like us ‘regular folk’….except of course he has LOTS more money than we do! LOL…
“That’s what my home is for me. We live such a normal life when we’re at home,” McGraw said of the day to day with his wife Faith Hill and their three daughters. “I love playing live and playing concerts and doing the stuff that I do, but everything I do is driven to get me home, to get me back to where I’m comfortable and to get me back into my world with my kids and going to the football games on Friday nights and picking kids up and dropping them off and going to the grocery store. Those sort of things. …
“That’s where you catch your breath. That’s where you recharge you batteries. That’s where you get your strength to go slay the dragons, I guess.”
McGraw went on to say during the interview with Tempo, that he still does normal things, like grocery shopping 2-3 times a week and nobody bothers him because he and Faith and their girls have all lived there so long, people are used to them and don;t make any fuss about it!
“We are Gracie and Maggie and Audrey’s parents really when we’re here,” he says. “They’re way more famous than we are in this area.”
Sounds like the simple life he sings about right here, “Meanwhile Back At Mama’s”
