Hands-Free ‘Talking To Car’ More Dangerous?

Just because you can talk to your car doesn’t mean you should. Two new studies have found that voice-activated smartphones and dashboard infotainment systems may be making the distracted-driving problem worse instead of better. I know I was even more distracted trying to use my own Sync system, that I quit using it entirely too. How about YOU?

Linda Lee's SYNC system

This new study from AAA found that while many people like me who did  let the systems do things like send a text message or make a phone call while keeping their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel, but found that many of the systems are so error-prone or complex that they require more concentration from drivers rather than less.

Am I the only one who is feeling like about half of ‘new and better’ technology is actually MORE difficult and time-consuming too?
