Florida Georgia Line Get Defensive When Talking About ‘Girl In A Country Song’

Florida Georgia Line is a big part of the “bro-mance” movement on country radio right now that features songs about trucks, tailgates, girls and good ole boys, something that is skewered in Maddie and Tae hit track  “Girl In A Country Song.” And while the two acts may be on the same label, it’s pretty apparent they don’t see eye-to-eye on things.

When Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard were asked what they thought about the girls’ musical jab at the new genre, they seemed a bit defensive. Kelley told the Chicago Tribune bluntly, “I’m not really familiar with that,” but when the reporter pushed a bit harder for a straight answer, Kelley said, “All I’m gonna say about that is, I don’t know one girl who doesn’t want to be a girl in a country song.  That’s all I’m going to say to you.”

Meanwhile, Florida Georgia Line are currently working on their sophomore album, and they’re convinced it will be better than their first. Says Tyler,”Anything you do repeatedly, you’re gonna get better at.”
