Tyler Farr’s Top Five hit, “Whiskey in My Water,” has been certified gold for sales of more than half a million copies. The song has also surpassed three million VEVO views and counting. Tyler was also just featured on Billboard’s First Ever Billboard Artist 100 Chart, landing at Number 93. The chart is the first-ever weekly ranking dedicated to measuring artist activity across our most influential charts, and blends information culled from album sales, track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of an artist’s popularity.
Tyler’s career is certainly on the upswing, but he says that following up his chart-topping debut single, “Redneck Crazy,” was daunting because the bar was set so high. “There’s more pressure because once you have a Number One — a song of that magnitude — you’re nervous ‘cause you’re going, ‘Well, what the hell am I gonna do now? What do I follow that up with?’ And luckily, we picked the right one, I believe, and the fans are connectin’ with it. We’re out, you know, with Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line still — we’ll be out with them all year — and even headlinin’ some big festivals now. And it’s just a big change has took place, so it’s just…it’s been awesome to watch and watch the fans’ reaction to it and have ‘em singin’ along to another song.”
