Two of country music’s biggest names are joining forces during the upcoming Billboard Music Awards. Billboard announced today that Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood will perform their new duet “Somethin’ Bad” during the award ceremony, which takes place Sunday, May 18.
Written by Chris DeStefano, Priscilla Renea and Brett James, “Somethin’ Bad” appears on Lambert’s upcoming studio album Platinum, which is due June 3.
“I’m a huge Carrie Underwood fan,” Lambert said of her duet partner. “‘Somethin’ Bad’ is a meshing of our styles and there aren’t many female collaborations in our format so I’m really excited to be debuting it on the Billboard Awards.”
In addition to Lambert and Underwood, previously announced performers on the show includeMiley Cyrus, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, 5 Seconds of Summer, Jason Derulo, Imagine Dragons, John Legend and OneRepublic.
The Billboard Music Awards air live from Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18 at 8pm ET on ABC.
