Star Wars: Episode VII Cast Announced


A major casting announcement has been made regarding the Star Wars universe. The cast for Star Wars: Episode VII has been announced. Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill are all back to reprise their roles as Han Solo, Princess Leia Organa, and Luke Skywalker.  Also returning from the original trilogy is Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca, and Kenny Baker as R2-D2.

The new cast members include John Boyega from Attack the Block, newcomer Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver from HBO’s Girls, Oscar Isaac from Inside Llewyn Davis, Andy Serkis from the Lord of The Rings series, Domhnall Gleeson from Anna Karenina, and Max von Sydow from The Exorcist.

Director J.J. Abrams says, “We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”

Star Wars: Episode VII opens in theaters worldwide on December 18, 2015.
