Rascal Flatts Admits To Lip-Syncing ACM Performance

There were a lot of performances during Sunday’s ACM Awards. Rascal Flatts performed their latest single, Rewind, during the show in front of the Fan Jam crowd at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

It was speculated during their performance that it was lip-synced. USA Today’s Brian Mansfield wrote “Flatts sounded as perfect performing their new single as they’ve ever sounded on television,” adding “maybe a little too perfect.”

Rascal Flatts took to their Twitter account on Monday (April 7) and explained the situation.

It turns out the performance was lip-synced because Gary LeVox lost his voice. Instead of cancelling the performance, they decided at the last minute to lip-sync the performance.
