ROYAL OAK (WYCD) For the first time, David Nail has a platinum selling single and is on the road touring with the legendary Darius Rucker.
Playing Ten Man Jam Wednesday night, Nail took on one tough question backstage from WYCD’s Chuck Edwards and Linda Lee: What do he and Rucker — those two crazy kids — get up to backstage?
Turns out, it’s nothing too wild and crazy … “I commented one night on his boots, and two nights ago I got, hand delivered from him, a pair just like them, just unannounced and for no reason at all … They’re brown snakeskin … just like his,” Nail revealed.
With a good deed like that, does he believe in karma? “Only if it’s good karma,” Nail said.
Also, did he really get dumped at a red light? (That’s some bad karma!) The answer is no. But he was dumped once at a Borders Bookstore. “She wouldn’t even let me take her back home, she walked,” he said, adding the worst part was she made him take her to lunch beforehand.
In January 2012, “Let It Rain” became Nail’s first No. 1 hit. His latest single “Whatever She’s Got” recently reached No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart. His third studio album “I’m A Fire” will be released next week.
