Dan + Shay are off to a great and busy 2014 so far. They’ll be at the Ten Man Jam, they’re nominated for ACM Vocal Duo of the Year, touring with Hunter Hayes, and touring with Blake Shelton. You can add releasing their debut album to that list.

Where It All Began is coming out through Warner Music Nashville on April 1st. The duo released “19 You + Me” in October of 2013 (cowritten with Danny Orton), and right away it was added in large numbers to many country radio playlists, a move that signified great interested in the previously little-known duo.

The harmonies Smyers and Mooney create together are a huge part of their appeal — you’d almost think they were brothers and had been singing together far more than just a single year. Their voices blend beautifully, too, on the breezy pop melody that propels “19 You + Me,” a song about a summer romance in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
