If checking off a long “honey-do list” of home projects feels like a lousy way to spend a weekend, take heart – it may keep you alive longer! No joke here either. Maybe your wife is really trying to save your life by giving you that weekend list of ‘things to do”….
A new study says older adults who do home and garden activities regularly may cut their risk of heart attack and stroke. Those who engage often in home and garden projects are 27 percent less likely to suffer a heart attack or stroke over a 12-year period, regardless of whether they did other exercise.
Checking off all the items on your ‘honey-do-list’ may not be the number one thing you look forward to each weekend, but letting chores pile up and go undone can create more stress in the long run! If you really think about it, doing a couple of things each day is way easier than spending 2 whole days getting stuff done!
What stresses you out MORE….spending time doing ‘Honey-Do’ chores, or not getting the chores done?
