Researchers from the University of Minnesota and Harvard Business School found that the ritual of snapping a photo enhances the enjoyment of consumption because of the greater involvement in the experience.
But a growing number of restaurants are banning food photos on the grounds that it’s distracting to other patrons. What? How can taking a picture of your food be ‘distracting’ to other diners?
