A Notre Dame professor, tired of seeing students dressed way too sloppily, decided to do what she does best – teach a class … on how not to be a slob! I must admit, I think that guys wearing baggy pants that hang down revealing their underwear and anyone who wears pajama pants out in public might benefit from learning the importance of the age old saying: “You only get one chance to make a first impression!”
Professor Linda Pryzybyszewski teaches a class called “A Nation of Slobs”. According to Pryzybyszewski, somewhere between the white gloves of the ’60s and the Snuggies of today, something went very wrong. “I think style just moved toward simplicity, and eventually slipped into stupidity.”
For anyone who has been on the receiving end of the emails with the pictures of random people shopping at Walmart, and some of the downright scary things that some people actually wear in public, you would certainly have to agree that there is definitely some room for improvement. Some people need to be taught what is ‘appropriate’ to wear in public, and what is not appropriate at all!
For the students who are taking the “A Nation Of Slobs” class, I just wonder…. if you wear pajama pants to class, do you automatically fail? LOL!
Does someone in your family dress totally inappropriate? What do they wear that makes you cringe?
