Behind The Scenes Facts From Taylor Swift’s Red Tour

Taylor Swift brought her Red Tour to Detroit on Saturday, May 4th. It marked the first stadium show on the tour and Taylor playing to nearly 50,000 people.

Rachael and Jason the 300lb Cowboy from The Dr.Don Morning Show went to the Meet & Greet before the show and got some behind the scenes info on the Red Tour.

The pair asked Taylor “Why Ed Sheeran as your opener?” She said she “choose him because he’s one of my best friends and because I love his music. I feel that our two sets go well together and his set helps to ramp up when I come it. It’s just a really good mix. Plus I love his music. She added, she made the right decision in choosing Ed because he’s “killin it” onstage every night.”

She was asked about her lucky number 13 and since it was 2013, has it been a special year so far? Taylor’s face lit up and said “that it’s been the best tour she’s ever had and now we’ll see how the stadium part goes.”

It was learned on the backstage tour that it is good for the local economy. They actually hire between 120 – 150 local people to help out.

There are 73 instruments on the tour and totally by coincidence, 13 of them are Taylor’s.

Meredith, Taylor’s cat, is with her on tour at all times. She was in Taylor’s dressing room while they were on the backstage tour.  Taylor’s mom, Andrea (aka “Momma Swift”) said “Meredith is the most well-adjusted cat she has ever seen in her life. You can stick her anywhere and she will find a place to lay down as chill.”
